How It All Started:
Years back we purchased a small cottage on Rangeley Lake.
From locals and some research we learned that the cottage was build back in the 1940's and was the first cottage that folks could
remember on that side of the lake, only access was via boat. The cottage had gone through several renovations and was do
for another. While cleaning out the crawl space we uncovered an old hand made sign, it was painted green and white, like
the old signs that were at camp when I was a kid, and had the words HOUSEKEEPING CABINS on it. From there
we made a few signs for ourselves using the same design and eventually sold them to the local furniture store. That was Rangeley Woodworks first
order, now they are gaining popularity and are sold throughout New England.
